Hope, Joy, Peace, Love. All words that are full of meaning, promise, and warmth. This Advent Season we will explore these concepts through the lens of God’s Word and discover that in Jesus Christ, the eternal Word who became human we can experience true Hope, Joy, Peace, and Love no matter what we face in life. You are cordially invited to join us at 10:00 AM each Sunday during December to discover all we have in the promise of the one born in Bethlehem.
Each service will include readings followed by lighting an Advent Candle and sharing communion together as we reflect on the most precious gift of all, that Jesus Christ gave his life for our sins on the cross.
This Christmas Eve we invite all to join us at 5:00 pm, and spend an hour focused on the fact that Jesus, the one born in Bethlehem really does understand all that we go through. So even if this is a year that you don’t feel like celebrating, take an hour and join us in a safe space to reflect on the fact that God loves you and sent Jesus to be human. He understands.

What to Expect on a Typical Sunday
Each Sunday we gather at 10:00 AM.
We invite all ages to be part of our time together as we begin. However, we understand that it may be more comfortable for Infants and Toddlers to be in a nursery that we provide.
Dress is casual and comfortable.
Our music is a blend of that which is relatively contemporary and traditional
We will dismiss children up through 5th Grade to attend an age appropriate class during the sermon.
Following the sermon all children return to the Auditorium for a time of response to the sermon through song.

Pleasant Hill Community church was established to serve our community.
The Bible says in I Peter 4:10-11
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.

PHCC MINISTRIES
We endeavor to minister to the whole family. We begin as early as possible to teach children about God who loves them. We seek to apply the lessons of the Bible to each age group in age appropriate ways. Our childcare workers and volunteers are screened so that we do our best to provide a safe and secure learning environment. We involve all ages in our ministry.
Missions
We view missions as a major ministry of Pleasant Hill Community Church. The vision and goal of Missons is to carry out the command of Christ’s Great Commission as we partner with individuals and agencies to make disciples of all nations.Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
PHCC currently partners with 12 Missionaries and their families worldwide. We have a primary focus to raise up individuals from our own congregation to be active in making disciples globally. To that end 5 of our 12 Missionary families have formative roots in our church. We also partner with two local organizations, Life Spring Women’s Ministry in Aurora, IL and World Relief DuPage/Aurora.. below are the mission organizations with whom we are ministry partners and links to their web sites.
